Note "Type designation: The genus Genicularia Quenstedt, 1857 was proposed by Friedrich August von Quenstedt in the work "Der Jura" (Quenstedt, 1856-1857), and it included two species: G. ornata, introduced together with the new genus in pages 521-522, and G. annulata, in page 589. Werner Quenstedt (1963; a different author, not Friedrich August von Quenstedt, his grandfather), established that the work "Der Jura" had been published in four different deliveries, with genus Genicularia and G. ornata being present in the third delivery (April 1857), and G. annulata in the fourth delivery (October 1857). The 4th edition of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (1999), in article 21.5 concerning "Dates of work issued in parts", states: "If parts of a work were published on different days, the date of publication of each part is to be separately determined".
