Note "Type species: Forcart fixed Chondrus pupoides Krynicki, 1833, as type species by original designation. However, Bank & Hovestadt [1991, Schriften zur Malakozoologie, 4: 9] showed that Chondrus pupoides sensu Forcart was composite and also included Bulimus lamelliferus Rossmässler, 1858, and that Forcart's description of Bollingeria refered to the latter, which was fixed as type species by Welter-Schultes under Art. 70.3 of the Code. Bank & Neubert [2016, Vita Malacologica, 14: 58] argued that Chondrus pupoides sensu Forcart is not a misidentified species, but a compound species that included both Multidentula pupoides (in the original sense of Krynicki) and M. lamellifera (in the original sense of Rossmässler); they thus considered that Art. 70.3 was not applicable, and treated Chondrus pupoides as the type species of Bollingeria by OD." for taxon Jaminia (Bollingeria) Forcart, 1940 has been added by Philippe Bouchet via the webinterface on 2024-05-10T19:15:27+00:00
